A New Musical & Dinning Experience For Sailor Moon Fans in 2026!

The Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon – Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo- is the successor of the 2019 “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon – SHINING MOON TOKYO” show. This one only featured the inner Sailor Guardians and closed in early 2020 due to the global pandemic.

It will now be reborn this April 2026 – July 2026, with a new story, new villain, and all 10 of the Sailor Guardians!

This new and exciting Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon performance will open in Club eX at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel in Tokyo, Japan. It is a musical show where guests can also indulge in themed food and drinks.

The show plans to be here for a while, with seasons consisting of 4 months.

First Season: April 2026 – July 2026
Second Season: planned to begin around August 1, 2026 through November 30, 2026.

A cast of fresh faces (except for a couple returning actresses) will perform as the Sailor Guardians, and Tuxedo Mask, set in a contemporary technological adventure created just for this show!

New Story, New Villain.

This show will have a brand new story, one we haven’t seen as Sailor Moon fans.

They are introducing a new character, “Queen Valusia” who is the new enemy to Sailor Moon and her team.

The new story explained.

Usagi and her friends visit a newly opened AI-themed park in Tokyo and are thrilled by the technology that creates a world where everything is perfect. However, standing before them appears an otherworldly queen: Queen Valusia.

Using the flawless world created by AI, Queen Valusia gradually steals away Usagi’s heart. She also places curses on Mamoru, Ami, Rei, Makoto, and Minako in an attempt to claim this world for herself.

Sensing the danger, Chibiusa, Haruka, Michiru, Setsuna, and Hotaru rise up to save their friends. Yet before the overwhelming power of Queen Valusia, who commands a perfect and flawless AI, they are helplessly struck down one by one.

“Usagi…! Wake up, Usagi…!!” – Will the feelings of her friends reach Usagi, whose heart has been taken away!?

Humanity… or AI… In the search for true love, the battle of Sailor Guardians begins.

Two Teams.

The performing (and greeting) cast consists of two teams: “Team Gold Moon” and “Team Silver Moon”, each character played by two different actresses.

The production, music and costumes have been created specifically for the type of performance required by the configuration of this theater.

The first iteration of Shining Moon Tokyo than ran until 2020 was presented at a small theater located right in the middle of the Azabu Juban neighborhood, where the series takes place.

This time, the Sailor Moon Shining Theater has moved to a brand new venue just a 5-minute walk from Shinagawa Station Takanawa Exit.

Fun fact: The Shinagawa Prince Hotel was also host to the Sailor Moon Music Festival: Chronicle in late 2022 (event review HERE) at the Stella Ball theater. The Shining Theater Shinagawa Tokyo Shinagawa is also at the same complex, but now at the recently renewed Club eX venue.
