This Proplica is inspired by the “Starry Sky Music Box” (aka Star Locket) as it appeared in the 90s Sailor Moon anime episode 35: “Memories Revived! The Past of Usagi and Mamoru”. It is adorned with gold decorative elements, giving it a luxurious, high-end feel. The size was based on scenes from the anime, allowing for a faithful, near 1:1 scale reproduction.
The item features a newly sculpted design, crafted with a focus on soft, graceful curves, and is finished with a custom-formulated gold plating, perfected through numerous trials.
When the lid is opened, the crescent moon in the center spins, and a music-box version of the theme song “Moonlight Densetsu” begins to play. It also includes a variety of newly recorded voice lines by Kotono Mitsuishi, the voice of Sailor Moon/Usagi Tsukino.

✦ 2014 vs. 2027 Starry Sky Music Box ✦
It has been 12 years since a PROPLICA Starry Sky Music Box was teased at a previous Tamashii Nations event in 2014. It was very similar to the Moonlight Memories Music Box, which in turn was very similiar to the 90’s toy version of the locket.
This time around, we can see that it has been completely redesigned with a new overall shape, a cute starry background and new sound effects. It’s unclear at the moment if the music is activated by a winding key mechanism or if it will be a digital player, however the fact that it has a voice recording indicates it most likely will be digital.
The Proplica Starry Sky Music Box will be exhibited at the TAMASHII NATION 2026 Expo to be held in Akihabara, Tokyo for 3 days from November 13 (Fri) to November 15 (Sun), 2026 at the Sailor Moon booth at the AKIBA_SQUARE UDX – 2F.
