Kodansha: Manga Manners Welcome to Japan Part 2

Kodansha Manga Manners at popular Train Stations
Manga Manners returns due to the success it had at Narita Airport, Terminal 2, on the gigantic “Welcome to Japan” wall mural, displayed from October 2024 – December 2024. This time Kodansha publishing company will have them displayed at 5 Train stations: Tokyo Station, Shinagawa Station, Nagoya Station, Kyoto Station, and Shin-Osaka Station. They will be there until June 30th, 2025 so be sure to check them out!
Manga Manners uses scenes from some of their popular characters, including Sailor Moon, to explain Japanese etiquette that visitors will need to know while they’re in Japan!

The “MANGA MANNERS” project, which was planned and produced by TBWA HAKUHODO (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Wataru Uchida), has won the 2025 Good Design Award.
The Good Design Award is a design evaluation system in Japan established in 1957. They evaluate a variety of fields such as products, architecture, business models, services, regions, and educational activities. This year, 1,619 out of 5,225 entries were selected as award-winning works.
“MANGA MANNERS” is a project that uses manga illustrations from popular franchises to create awareness of Japanese manners and behaviors in order to promote a fun learning experience.
The judges highly praised it as a new method that combines Japanese customs of hospitality and rule compliance with the potential to be widely spread in multicultural coexistence and international exchange.
