The world’s first Sailor Moon Illuminations event will be held at the “Sagamiko Resort Pleasure Forest” in Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture. The Sagamiko Illumination park is located about an hour from the city center, and in this event you will be able to enjoy the magnificent view of about 6 million twinkling lightbulbs. The annual event has evolved every year thanks to the integration of the latest technology and the regular redesigning of the area. It has been certified as one of the “Three Major Illuminations in the Kanto region” since 2018, and was selected as the second place winner at the National Illuminations Award (Comprehensive Entertainment Category) in 2020.

The new Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Illuminations -Eternal- area will feature some iconic landmarks from the Sailor Moon Eternal movies such as Elysion, Crystal Tokyo, the Moon Castle and even a large scale Legendary Silver Crystal that shines with colorful lights all around. In addition to the rainbow spectrum that matches the colors of the 10 sailor guardians set under a suspended lift attraction, there are also illuminated photo spots such as a stained glass wall with the Sailor Guardians’ planetary symbols and a spot where you can take pictures as Eternal Sailor Moon. Furthermore, in the main area “Crystal Tokyo“, there will be a powerful illumination show in which lights and music are intertwined to create a colorful shiny spectacle.

Highlights

Love Crystal – The Legendary Silver Crystal and The Golden Crystal –
The Legendary Silver Crystal with a width of about 4 meters changes colors periodically to transform into the Golden Crystal. The Love Crystal which reproduces the crystals of Usagi Tsukino and Mamoru Chiba serves as a welcome to the area and is the perfect spot to take some shiny photos.

Crystal Tokyo
The main area “Crystal Tokyo” is located at the back and it depicts Tokyo in the 30th century as it appears in the manga and movies where the Sailor Princesses gather. This is where you can enjoy a powerful illumination show in which rainbow-colored lights are linked with music to create a marvelous spectacle.

Photo ops
There are many photo opportunities in the area like the “Crystal Power Makeup Spot” and the “Crescent Moon Photo Spot” where you can take pictures as if you were sitting on the crescent moon, and the glittering “Sailor Guardian Planetary symbols.

There will also be many collectible goods and collaboration food items with newly drawn visuals that will be announced later on.
