SAILOR MOON COMES TO HOLLYWOOD
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon The Miracle , was a popular 4D show that originally released in 2019 at Universal Studios Japan, and later in 2022, re-released as a deluxe version called Moon Palace Chapter Deluxe – which changed one scene, which we explained below.
It is now coming to UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD for 12 nights only called “Fan Fest nights” beginning in April 23 to May 2026.
This special event will also include Sailor Moon themed food, drink, & merchandise.
The Show
Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon The Miracle: Moon Palace Chapter Deluxe
“Pierce the Darkness and Restore Light to the Moon Palace!
When a mysterious enemy threatens the Legendary Silver Crystal, the Moon Palace is plunged into chaos, testing even Super Sailor Moon’s resolve. In this spectacular 4D show, dazzling effects and breathtaking visuals surround you as the fate of the Guardians unfolds in an unforgettable crescendo of light, love, and strength.”
This is the same show that first debuted in Japan in 2019. In 2022, Japan released a “deluxe” version that changed a scene to include the 9 Sailor Guardians (all but Sailor Moon) to their Princess dresses. Hollywood is getting the 2022 deluxe version.
It’s a short film about 20 minutes for the entire experience. Before the film, you’re in a room with a small screen and portraits of the Sailor Guardians. For the Japan release, it was in 4D; which is 3D with glasses + included effects like air blasts and little splashes of water.
We are unsure if Universal Studios Hollywood is giving us a regular version of the film, a 3D version, or the full 4D version of this film. We do know that it will be in Japanese with English subtitles.

– Lemon-lime soda with dragon fruit syrup, mango star gummies, dragon fruit popping pearls and star sprinkles
✦ Tuxedo Mask’s Raspberry Rose Sandwich Cookie
– Black chocolate sandwich cookie with rose raspberry almond filling, topped with a golden item and a white mask cookie

– Pink sugar-coated churro with a berry filling
✦ Mystery Box Cupcake
– 5 cupcakes that will include the Inner Sailor Guardians, vanilla bean cake studded with strawberries, filled with strawberry jam and topped with vanilla bean buttercream. These are mystery boxed and you can’t choose who you get

Before Fan Fest Nights 2026, Universal Studios Hollywood put out an application looking for a performer to portray Usagi/Sailor Moon
In late March 2026, Universal Studios Hollywood put up an application looking for video submissions to hire to play Sailor Moon as the character for Fan Fest nights.
They stated the role requires a combination of script and improv performance with strong guest interaction skills.
